With Secondary Diploma:
- Minimum 4 years (6,000 hours) of non-overlapping professional project management experience.
- Minimum 7 years (10,500 hours) of non-overlapping professional program management experience.
With Four-year Degree:
- Minimum 4 years (6,000 hours) of non-overlapping professional project management experience.

Complete Application Process
The applicant must register the application online on the PMI Website. The PMI demands the following relevant information.
- Contact information.
- Education qualifications.
- Domain experience – programs, details of projects, qualifying hours, etc.
- Domain education – courses completed, institutions attended, etc.
- Preferred language for examination.
The online application is only valid and active for a duration of 90 days’ post starting the process of application.
Application review
It takes about 10 days for PMI to accept the application and receive and apply for approval. Post selection for audit, a 90-day window for submitting the audit material is provided.
Scheduling and Payment
Payment is the next step upon obtaining an approval email from PMI. The easiest way to submit the fee for the PgMP Certificate exam is through their online certification system. Post submission, an eligibility number used to schedule the appointment is provided. The exam cost is $800 for PMI member and $1,000 for non-PMI members.
In addition, for the continuation of the PgMP certification, the. holder will need to receive 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) every 3 years. Also, the credentials must be renewed within the 3-year cycle.
