With COVID-19 quarantines in effect around the world, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is committed to the safety and well-being of its global community. PMI has a designated “Crisis Task Force” that is constantly monitoring the situation arising from the coronavirus pandemic.
Impact on PMI Certification candidates
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the status of global test delivery shifts rapidly. In accordance with governments and local authorities, the PMI will continue to monitor the situation and decide on test center operations.
Candidates who are able to proceed with their certification exam can consultant and find their respective test center information here.
For candidates who have already scheduled the exam but can not take it due to health restrictions or training delays, PMI offers them to reschedule their exam. This would immediately extend the eligibility for the exam until 18 January 2021. All charged payments will be eligible for a refund and candidates will have the ability to reschedule until 1 July 2020 without any penalty fees.
The PMI has also extended access to the current PMP exam until 31 December 2020 and has postponed the commencement of the new PMP exam until 2 January 2021. In fact, online proctored testing (OPT) has been introduced for the PMP, where the candidates can now take the exam online from the convenience of their home or office.
Impact on PMI Events
