Both can get you through the PMP. A bootcamp is fast and intense; a weekend course is slower and gives you time between sessions to practise. Which works better depends on how you learn and how much of your week you can give up.
The short answer
Choose a bootcamp if you can take several days off work and you already know project management well. Choose a weekend course if you are working full time and want time between classes to practise questions and let ideas settle. Many working professionals find the weekend pace easier to finish.
How a bootcamp works
A bootcamp packs the 35 hours or more into a few consecutive days, often four or five. You finish the training quickly and can book the exam soon after. The cost is intensity: long days, a lot of material in a short time, and little room to practise between topics.

How a weekend course works
A weekend course spreads the teaching over several weeks. Ours runs seven Saturdays, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time, for 60 contact hours. Between sessions you work practice questions, so each Saturday starts from what you got wrong rather than from scratch. See our seven-weekend study plan.

What you remember on exam day
The PMP asks you to reason through scenarios, not recall definitions. That kind of judgement builds with practice spread over time: you meet a type of question, get it wrong, understand why, and meet it again a week later. A bootcamp can teach the same content, but you then need to do that practice on your own after it ends.
Which fits a working professional
A bootcamp needs days off in a row, which many people cannot take. A weekend course needs your Saturdays for several weeks but leaves your working week alone. If your employer will give you a block of training days, a bootcamp may suit you; if not, weekends usually do.
How to choose
Whichever you pick, check that the provider is a PMI Authorized Training Partner, that the teaching is live, and who the instructor is. Our eight checks cover the rest. Education Edge teaches the weekend format, in person in Mississauga or live online across Canada.
