Adopt the abundance based rather than scarcity-based attitude towards knowledge sharing. This means that we aim to share information and make it available to everyone who might want to consume it rather than hoarding it to secure our jobs or increase our project stature.

The use of task boards, information radiators, personas and wireframes are great examples of knowledge sharing. Knowledge should be out in open and none of it shbeould the sole domain of any one person.

The challenge with knowledge sharing though is that individuals are most commonly rewarded for what they know not what they share. This reward system actually discourages knowledge sharing. To promote the idea of knowledge sharing organizations culture should instead encourage and reward the discovery, innovation and transfer of information.
